It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, of Keir Evan Vincent, of Montrose, age 86 years. Beloved husband for 61 years of Mary Elizabeth (DesRoches). Born at Woodvale, on February 17, 1929, he was the son of the late Clifford and Beatrice (nee Simmons) Vincent. Loving father to Angela MacCormac (Danny Morrell), of Charlottetown, Joseph (Linda), of Pictou, NS, John (Marie), of Montrose, Wayne (Sandra), of Skinners Pond, Leslie (Crystal), of Howlan, Ricky (Vicky) of Woodvale, Kevin (Heather) of Montrose, Dean (Mary) of Woodvale, Alan (Yvonne) of Vernon, B.C., Kim Gaudet-Morris (Dave) of Deblois, and Carol Ann (David) Gallant of Tignish. He will be sadly missed by his 30 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear brother of Doris MacNevin of St. Eleanors. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Owen MacCormac, daughter-in-law, Amanda Vincent, and by siblings, Gladys Plant, Clara Lewis and Georgie Vincent. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday, 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Andrew MacDonald, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
