SHARPE, DENNIS
It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Sharpe announce his passing on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Dennis was an incredibly hard worker with a strong sense of responsibility and family. In his earlier years, Dennis loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing. In his later years he had enjoyment in looking after his lawns. He also enjoyed playing cards and entertaining company.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Penny Osborne, and son, Allen (April) Sharpe; and by his grandchildren, Shalisha (Mike) Lyons, Shane Campbell, Shawn Campbell, Kodi (Nick) MacGougan, Corey Campbell, Austin Sharpe and Allison Sharpe. He was a very proud great-grandfather (Buppa) to: Cassia Nicoles, Myles MacGougan, Alec MacGougan, and Sawyer Lyons. Dennis loved to spoil his great-grandchildren and to spend time with them. He is also survived by his brothers William Sharpe (Marion), Gerald Sharpe (Leah) and David Sharpe; sisters Hope O’Regan and Eileen Bergman; his best friends, Debbie and Paul Creamer, and special neighbours, Carolyn and Rick Dickie.
Dennis was predeceased by his loving wife, Phyllis Sharpe, parents Edward and Mae (Clark) Sharpe; his daughter, Debbie Campbell; brother George Sharpe and sister Helen Pearl.
He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him.
By request there will be no visitations. A private service will take place at a later date. A family interment of Dennis and Phyllis will take place at Sharpe’s Point, Manitoba at a later date.
Remembrances in memory of Dennis may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
