Jean "Jennie" Harding

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at the St. John's Long Term Care Facility on Friday, January 8, 2016. Jean Harding, aged 96 years was predeceased in 2007 by her loving and cherished husband of 65 years, Leo Joseph Harding; her parents, Edward and Eliza Badcock; sisters, Elizabeth Clark (Issac) and Clara Avery (Chesley); brothers, Edward Badcock (Hilda) and Harold Badcock; parents-in-law, Richard and Mary Harding; sister-in-law, Bride Moncrief of USA and brother-in-law, Gerald Harding (Geraldine). Jean leaves to mourn her loving daughter, Clara Spracklin (Harold); grandchildren, Deborah Vey (Blair) and Douglas Spracklin (Sherry); two adoring great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Timothy Vey; sisters-in-law, Fanny Badcock of Shearstown and Helen Palafox (Wally) of Hawaii, USA and two special nieces, Sr. Helen Harding of St. Joseph's Convent and Pearl Bernard (Ken) along with many other nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to both Dr. F. J. Essaji for his long term care over the past years and all the staff of 3NE at the St. John's Long Term Care Facility who called her "Nan". Words cannot express your kindness and special care to Mom; it will always be remembered in our hearts. Thanks also to the staff of the St. Luke's Home Day Care Program where she enjoyed many wonderful activities and outings. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation on Tuesday from 12-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place from Caul's Chapel on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11 am. Inurnment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donations in Jean's memory may be made to VOWR Radio Station, St. Luke's Nursing Home Day Care Program or another charity of one's choice.
