It is with great sadness that the family of Josephine Green (née Kenny) announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on January 9, 2016. She will be sadly missed with loving memories by her daughter Rosemarie (Brian) Doody, granddaughters Heather (Chris) Wellman and Karen (Joe Bowden) Doody, precious great-grandchildren Alex, Maia, and Nicolas Wellman and Padraig Bowden, sisters Mary Johnson and Anne Hogan of St. John's, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Green, parents Patrick and Mary Jane Kenny, and sister Rose Kenny. Visitation will take place Monday, January 11 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Fillatre's Funeral Home on St. Mark's Ave. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 12 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Parish in Curling, Father Don Leonard officiating. The family would like to thank Drs. Al-Zubaidy, Tavenor, and Lafferty, the orthopaedic nursing staff, and Eileen Coombs and the nursing team at the Palliative Care Unit for their constant care and kindness.
