
Earle Titus
TITUS, EARLE KENNETH
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our special, wonderful, caring father and grandfather Earle Kenneth Titus on Friday, January 8th, 2016 at the age of 83. Born December 11th, 1932, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Clifford Alton and Ada Mary (Crandall) Titus.
Earle was employed with CanadaPackers/Sussex Poultry and Strescon. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Westside Food Bank, and Romero House. He enjoyed various activities at Lancaster Baptist Church including shuffleboard and singing with the Ambassadors. He loved woodworking, splitting and piling wood, ATVing, golfing, playing guitar and gardening. In his earlier years he played in a band, spent many winters snowmobiling and many summers playing softball. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Earle is survived by his son Todd (Marlene) of Nerepis, NB; daughter Sharon Ross (Lawrence) of Grandbay-Westfield; brothers Robert (Oriole) of Grandbay-Westfield, Wayne (Patricia) of Morrisdale, NB; sister Patricia Perrin (Percy) of Saint John; sisters-in-law Thelma and Gerry; cherished grandchildren Chris (Sarah), Shawn (Jaclynne), Jennifer, Natalie, Shannon, and Tyler; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Earle was predeceased by his devoted wife Doris of 58 years, brothers Lloyd, Donald, Melvin, Roy and sister Ruth Vallis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, January 11th from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, January 12th at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in Earle’s memory may be made to the Westside Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Romero House or Lancaster Baptist Church.
