Margaret Ann 'Peggy' (nee MacKinnon) MacLean

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Peggy on Jan. 11, 2016, at the age of 95.
She is survived by daughters, Anne Regina (Malcolm) Kaiser, Baddeck and Joanne (Greg) Dunphy, Victoria, B.C.; grandchildren, Marshall Kaiser, Angela and Steven (Krystal) Dunphy and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Steve; her parents, Roderick D. and Josephine (MacLean) MacKinnon of Coopers Pond; sisters, Mary Sarah and Mary Flo; brothers, Rod Ambrose, Frank, Danny, Gus, Leo and Neil.
Peggy was a member of St. Michael's parish, the CWL and Notre Dame Associates for many years. She loved to play the fiddle and spending time at the old homestead in Coopers Pond. She enjoyed the game of golf and was a member of the Baddeck Forks Golf Club. She also enjoyed her weekly game with the ladies bridge group. She loved tending to her gardens in the summer.
The body will be resting at St. Michael's Parish Hall, Chebucto Street, Jan. 14th with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Michael's Church Friday, Jan. 15th at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
