POIRIER, ANSELME
1920 - 2016
Anselme Poirier, 95, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at his residence. Born on July 14, 1920 in Noinville, he was the son of the late Eddy and Adéline (Belliveau) Poirier.
After being in the military, Anselme worked as a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Rita (Maillet); two sons: Ulysse Poirier, at home, and Wilfred Maillet (Dorice) of Weisner; three granddaughter: Lisa, Barb and Linda; many nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by a son, Francis.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 9 am until time of funeral. Veterans will hold a service of remembrance at 10:50 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
