With sad hearts and wonderful memories, we announce the passing of a kind and gentle man. Mike passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Palliative Care, in the presence of his loving family and good friends. Leaving to mourn are his wife of 39 years, Dean (Heale), son, Michael and daughter-in-law Sandra; daughter Nancy and son-in-law Scott Gammon; grandsons, Eoghan, Oisin, Kelan and Ruairi; Sister-in-law Janice (Winston Piercey); as well as many nephews and nieces. Also left to mourn his loss are his good buddies Gerry and Lynn Wade, special Goddaughter Gail, great neighbours, many friends and extended family. Mike will be resting at Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Friday, January 15 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Carnell's Chapel on Saturday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
