Florence Marie (Gaudet) O’Brien, 91, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 10, 2016, at Providence Place, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Born April 2, 1924, at home in Egmont Bay, Prince Edward Island. Florence was the youngest of sixteen children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Thomas O’Brien, her parents and siblings. Florence is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Florence worked for many years as a secretary for the World Bank and travelled around the world for her work. Florence retired in 1986 and moved to Chambersburg with her husband. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Visitation at 10 a.m. at the church immediately prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
