The death occurred at Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, of William Bill Junior Bridges, aged 78 years. Born on November 24, 1937, in MacNeills Mills, son of the late William and Hazel (MacDougall) Bridges. Dear father to Nancy Fraser, Ottawa; Danny (Judy), Alberta; Norma (Ben) Yeo, Conway; Charles (Julie) Guelph, ON; Sherry Bielak (Reg), AB; Bonnie (Bruce) Fraser, Cape Breton; Tammy, Alberton; Leah Ramsay, Summerside; Shelly, Montague; Shawn (Tamara) Hobbs, Bishops Falls, Nfld.; and Dawn Hobbs-Penton (Jamie), Charlottetown. Loving grandfather to 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters and brothers Wendell (Joyce), Richmond; Norma Adams, Charlottetown; Phyllis Cheverie, Charlottetown; Ronald, Toronto; Donald, Summerside; Roland, Miscouche; Susan Rafferty, Portage; Bertha, Alberton; Marlene (Clarence) Ford, Mount Pleasant; Janice (Francis) Gaudet, Richmond; Patricia (Terry) Tanner, Summerside; Bradley (Bernice), Red Deer, AB. Brother-in-law to George Benson, Bradford, ON. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Kevin and Bev, sister Anita Benson, brothers-in-law William Quinn, Walter Rafferty, Carman Phillips, Frank Cheverie and Robert Adams. Resting at Ferguson Funeral and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
