Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex following a brief illness, on Friday, January 15, 2016, Catherine McLoughlin, age 77 years. Predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary Power; brothers: Jack Power, Lloyd Power and Tom Power; and sister, Ellen Philpott. Leaving to mourn, her husband William McLoughlin; children: William McLoughlin (Masie), John McLoughlin (Brenda), Loretta McLoughlin (Peter) and Mary McLoughlin; grandchildren: Devin and Megan McLoughlin; brothers: Raymond Power (Jessie) and Patrick Power (Rose); many nieces and nephews; as well as a large circle of extended family members and many friends. Special thank you to Dr. Ashan, Dr. Lisa Kenney, as well as the nursing staff of the CVICU Unit and CCU units at the Health Sciences Complex. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, January 17, from 7-9 pm and on Monday, January 18, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Visitation will continue at the community hall/school in Duntara, Bonavista Bay, on Wednesday, January 20 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place at St's Peter and Paul Parish, Kings Cove, on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 am. Interment will take place at a later date.
