
Bernard White
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bernard Sidney White age 72 of River Hebert announce his passing on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Lower Cove, NS he was a son of the late Placide and Francis (Burbine) White.
Bernie worked at Amherst Woodworking in Amherst and also a Coal Miner in River Hebert and Grand Cashe, Alberta, retiring in 1980.
He loved hunting and fishing with his wife Joyce.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife Joyce (Brown) White, one daughter Tina (Robbie) Leggett of Amherst, two granddaughters Stephanie and Little Tina and two grandsons Shane and Shawn and one great granddaughter Avery, one brother Danny White of Amherst and one sister Doris Gower of Grand Cashe, Alberta and Myrna (Allie) Leaman of Havelock, NB and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bernie was predeceased by his son Donnie, brothers Cecil, Placide Jr. and Curtis and sisters Ruby Jackson and Hazel Dobson.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Ragged Reef Cemetery, Joggins
Memorial donations in Bernie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
