Passed peacefully away in the presence of his ever loving family on Monday, January 18, 2016, Michael Francis Sweeney, age 98 yrs of Admiral's Coast Retirement Centre, formerly of Admiral's Beach, St. Mary's Bay and Clattice Harbour, Placentia Bay. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 67 years Mary (nee Leonard), seven sons Don (Edith), Ernie (Joyce), David (Maxine), Danny (Enobong), Terry (Irene), Mike (Peggy), Emmett (Krista), three daughters Rosemary (Gerard Hickey), Darlene (Dave Trough), Jacinta (Tom Walsh), twenty-two grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two sisters-in-law Annie O'Rouke and Margaret Parsons, special niece Anna (Nancy) Sweeney, numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 am from St. Edward's Church, Kelligrews. Interment in St. Edward's Cemetery, Kelligrews.
