Passed peacefully away on Sunday, January 17, 2016, Gordon Sparkes, age 73 years. Predeceased by his parents: Eli and Beatrice Sparkes; sons: Derrick and Scott and brother: Roy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife of 50 years Judy (nee Lang); his daughter: Audra (Dion) Crewe; grandchildren: Alyssa, Megan, Kaitlin, Kristen and Felicia; great-grandchild: Nathan; brothers: Wallace (Margaret), Lester (Doris), David (Gloria) and daughters-in-law: Kim Sparkes and Marjorie Sparkes. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends. At Gordon's request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Barrett's Chapel, 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl. Interment will be held at a later date.
