Eva Miriam Dohaney passed away peacefully on January 16, 2016.
She is survived by sons Allen (Theresa) of Rothesay, Michael (Barbara) of Massachusetts, by Kathy Caron (Terry Keough) of Grand-Barachois, by grandchildren Patrick (Laura), Timothy (Erin), Ross (Maria), Jeff (Emilie), Jamie (Laura), Jacqueline, John (Jaime), Stephanie (Garrett), Jason (Danielle), Michelle (Steve), Nicola (Bill), Kate (Chris), sister in law Nereen Russell, and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband John, parents Percy and Evelyn (Russell), brothers Charles, Jim, and Joe, sisters Sists and Kay.
Miriam worked at the Moncton Airport where she met her husband John and they resided in Moncton with their family until they retired to Chipman in 1978. She enjoyed golf and was a member of Moncton Golf and Country Club, curled at Beaver Curling Club, a league bowler in Moncton and Chipman and was an active member of St Joseph Catholic Church. Although modest about her ability she was an accomplished artist. Miriam had a great sense of humor and loved her time spent with family. She and John loved camping and looked forward to their annual trip to Florida. Special thanks to friends Carol and Albert Chessie and Marie Hunter for their long time friendship and support.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 22nd at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chipman at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paul ErZoah-Bebodu officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
Donations to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Restoration Fund or charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
