Roger Arsenault

Arsenault, Roger
Truro - Loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at age 84 on January 20, 2016 in Truro with his family by his side. He was born in Moncton, NB to the late Philorome and Elmire Arsenault. Roger worked for CN railway for many years before his career as a highly skilled welder carried him across Canada and back again, finally leading to a teaching profession at the Nova Scotia Community College in Stellarton. After retirement, he and his wife (late) Thelma spent every summer camping in Shediac, NB, where they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Roger was a very active member of the Truro Curling Club and when not curling or officiating would often still be found volunteering there, on and off the ice. Roger was an outgoing and giving man, who was happiest when there was company at his house, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Deidre (Craig) Morgan, Rutland MA; sons Robert (Linda), Dieppe NB and Terry (Carmen), Moncton NB; grandchildren André, Frédéric, Julie, Jason, Jack, Mia, and Alexa; great-grandchildren Jordan and Abby; sisters Irene (late Claude) Boyer, Lorraine (late Mal) Hagarty, and many nieces and nephews.
