It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace Osmond announces his peaceful passing at his residence in Burnt Islands on January 25, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Wallace was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Jane (nee Bateman) Osmond. He was also predeceased by his sister Geraldine, children Geraldine, Robbie, Richard and Roxanne, grandson Justin, father and mother-in-law Jack & Alice Wells. He leaves to mourn with many precious memories his loving wife Dordenia (nee Wells) of 60 years, Nancy (Ricky) King Burnt Islands, Rick (Alice) Osmond Grand Falls-Windsor NL, Darin (Paula) Osmond Gander NL, Derek (Liz) Osmond Edmonton AB, Tracy Osmond (Jason Todd) Fort McMurray AB, 5 grandchildren; Ricky Jr., Rebecca, Cody, Michael and Emma, 1 great grandchild Connor, sister Florence (Clyde) Ripley NS, brother Clifford (Jean) Osmond Kippens NL, brother-in-law John (Lucy) Porter North Sydney plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and many many friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday, January 27 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, January 28 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, Burnt Islands. Funeral services took place on January 29, 2 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church with Rev. Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers accepted or donations in memory of Wallace can be made to the family.
