DENSMORE, WENDY Y.
Wendy Yvonne Densmore of Hanwell, wife of Richard A. Densmore, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born at Springhill, Nova Scotia on April 19, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Ena (Ford) Bishop.
Wendy worked as a school teacher for deaf children in Amherst, NS, and in Povungnatuk, Arctic Quebec before her career at Service Canada.
In addition to her husband, Wendy is survived by her children, Marlene Shea (Michael) of Charlottetown, PEI, and Sarah Atwin (Tony) of Kingsclear, NB; grandchildren Sydney, Sophia, Olivia, Andrew, and Leila; brothers Paul Bishop (Jennifer) of Kolbec, NS and Jack Bishop (Janet) of Cornwall, ON; her mother-in-law, Credwyn Densmore of Lynnfield, NB; several nieces and nephews, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Densmore family.
Wendy was predeceased by her parents and her father-in-law, Sheldon Densmore.
Visitation will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church, 1991 Route 640, Hanwell, on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 1 PM until 2 PM, when the funeral service will be held with Rev. Wendy MacWilliams and Rev. Basil Lowery officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will be later at St. James Presbyterian Cemetery.
For those who wish, remembrances to St. James Presbyterian Church or the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
