The death occurred at the Garden Home, Charlottetown on Friday, January 29, 2016 of Miriam Rosamond Horne, formerly of Bloomfield, in her 99th year, wife of the late Kentford Horne.
Miriam was born in Knutsford, on August 7, 1917, daughter of the late Perley and Daisy (Hopgood) MacNeill. Cherished mother to Laurie (Irene), Burlington, ON and Marilyn (Ken) Roper, Charlottetown. Loving grandmother to Daniel Roper, Benjamin Roper and Trent (Kara) Horne. Great-grammie to Mackenzie and Evan Horne. Miriam is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers and their wives, Rupert (Jeanette), Reginald (Dorothy) and Raynall (Helen).
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours on Tuesday, February 2, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday, February 3, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O’Leary at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
