It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gladys Sheaves (nee Osmond) announce her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on January 27, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Gladys was the daughter of the late William and Priscella (nee Bond) Osmond. She was also predeceased by her husband Chesley in 1987, three infant children, brothers Howard (Martha) Osmond, George (Jane) Osmond, John (Katherine) Osmond, Charles Osmond, and Edward (Caroline) Osmond, sisters Elizabeth (Frederick) Francis, Hilda (Norman) McNeil, Mary (Joseph) Ingram and Elsie Fields. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her son Perry Sheaves Port aux Basques, daughter Angela Sheaves (Matthew Ralph) Dartmouth NS, sister-in-law Florence Osmond plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends especially her caregiver Cindy Francis who went above and beyond for mom and our family. Visitation took place on Friday, January 29 from 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services took place on Saturday, January 30, 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Channel with Rev. Clayton Billard officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the family.
