Bilensky, Eleanor Marie
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Eleanor Marie Bilensky who passed away on Thursday, February 4th, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Earle and Jean (Hagerman) Merrithew and the wife of the late Charles Bilensky.
Eleanor was a member of Gibson Memorial United Church where she was an organist for 47 years. She was a member of the UCW at Gibson Memorial as well as Lower St. Mary’s Women’s Institute. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Bilensky (Kirk O’Donnell) of Fredericton, NB; one grandchild, Brandon Sparks (Justine MacLean ); sisters - in- law, Iona Merrithew, Gloria Munn, Betty Bilensky; nephew and nieces.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles; one brother, Lowell Merrithew; brothers - in - law, Donald Bilensky, Ronald Bilensky and Fred Munn.
There will be no visitation by Eleanor’s request. A memorial service will be held at Gibson Memorial United Church on Sunday, February 7th, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Cora Krommenhoek will officiate. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Gibson Memorial United Church Living Memorial Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
