Lillian Farrell
PARRSBORO – Lillian L. Farrell, age 86, of Parrsboro passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at All Saints Hospital, Springhill.
Born in Five Islands, she was a daughter of the late Davison and Edith J.R. (Corbett) Corbett.
Lillian attended Truro Normal College and upon graduation she taught in various schools throughout the Halifax area. Following her marriage to Charlie, she taught school in Parrsboro. As well, she operated Farrell’s Radio and Electric in Parrsboro with her husband for many years.
She is survived by niece, Carol Corbett, Five Islands, and her sons, William and Martin; nephew, Allan Farrell (Mabel), Truro; numerous other nieces and nephews; her “boyfriend”, Ron Meaney, Parrsboro.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 2010; a brother, Albert. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday [February 4, 2016] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2:30 pm on Friday [February 5, 2016] at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
