Peacefully with her family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, February 7, 2016 of Mary Jean MacLeod Koughan (nee Thomas) of Charlottetown and formerly of Kensington in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald MacLeod and the late Lorne Koughan. Dear mother of Shelley (William Dainard), Fern (Robert) Weatherby, Heather (Glenn) Tuplin and stepmother of Lorna (dec) (Ronnie) Gallant, Barb (Charlie) Mackie, Marty Koughan, Frank (dec)(Anne) Koughan, Janet (Pat) Kelly and Larry Koughan (Kim Mooney). Loving Nanny to 23 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and dear sister to Wilma (Andrew) Campbell. Mary will also be sadly missed by special friend Charlie Murphy. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Annie (Gamester) Thomas, brother Everett Thomas, and sisters Eileen Taylor and Evelyn Molyneaux. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment later in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of St. Pius X CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Family flowers only.
