TERRIS, JEAN WINROSE
1922 - 2016
Jean W. Terris (nee Shaffer) passed away peacefully at Fairhaven Long Term Residential Care, Peterborough, ON on February 7, 2016. Jean, of Riverview, NB was in her 94th year. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Shaffer.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald in 1979, and her beloved son Ivan in 1983.
She is survived by her daughter Debbie and her husband Ron Kervin of Peterborough, ON; a daughter in law Starr Terris of Moncton; four grandchildren Jocelyn of Toronto, ON, David of Peterborough, ON, John of Monteagel, NB, and Susan of Moncton, NB; sister-in-law Evelyn. She was the proud grandmother of five great-grandchildren Landis, Mason, Camden, Malayah, and Knox. Jean was the youngest of 13 children, all of whom have predeceased her. She will be remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Jean was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Tamblyn's Drugs as a drug clerk and cosmetician. Jean loved to volunteer her time with having spent 11 years volunteering with the Moncton Hospital and 7 years with K.E. Spencer Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to your local Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
