Normand Boucher

BOUCHER, NORMAND
1921 – 2016
Normand Boucher, 94 of Résidence Oasis, Dieppe and formerly of Saint-Paul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday February 12, 2016 at the UHC Dr Georges L Dumont, Moncton. He was married to the late Ida (Cormier) Boucher (1991). Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Alphée and the late Rosanne (Belliveau) Boucher.
Normand was a farmer, forestry contractor, a member of the Saint-Paul Golden Age Club; he was very dedicated to his community… Golden Age Club, Cooperative movement, Coop store and Caisse Populaire. For several years he supported local sports (baseball, hockey). He especially loved the time he spent with his family at different family events.
His favorite hobbies were gardening and dancing with his friends, he loved to teach dancing, fishing trout at Renaud lake, to talk about and look at pictures of former trips down south and we can’t forget that he was a great Montreal Canadian fan.
He will be sadly missed by his six children; Jeannette Maillet-Doiron (Joseph) of Haute-Aboujagane, Aldéa Jaillet (late André), Denis Boucher (Anita) of Bouctouche, Lucia Boucher (Ricky Skerry) of Pointe-du-Chêne, Raymond Boucher (Doris) of Dieppe and Noella Melanson (Richard) of Saint-Paul, fifteen grandchildren; Robert, Jean-Paul, Henri, Jacques, Lucille, Carole, Line, Daniel, Marc, Michel, Christian, Jean-Pierre, Mélanie, Lise and Pauline and nineteen great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn one sister Jeanne (late Edouard), one brother Leonard (Gérarda) of Bouctouche two sisters-in-law; Geneva and Thérèse, a very special friend Rose Irène Bougeois as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by five brothers; Lionel, Willie, Théophile, Yvon and Eric.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, on Tuesday February 16, 2016 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Paul Church on Wednesday February 17, 2016 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Normand’s memory donations may be made to the Saint-Paul Parish.
