Leonard Geldart
GELDART, LEONARD
Leonard Allen Geldart, 75, of Moncton and formerly of Middlesex passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Moncton hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Little River, he was the son of the late Percy and Doris (Douthwright) Geldart.
Leonard was a retired Automotive salesman and a member of the Middlesex United Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, car repair, was an avid mandolin and guitar player and loved family gatherings.
Survived by his wife of fifty-three years Thelma (Duff); children Gwen Geldart (Roland Bourque), Shediac, Penny Keith (Terry), Moncton, Eugene Geldart (Cheryl O'Neill), Salisbury, Tracy Dugas (Luc), Moncton and Perry, Salisbury; grandchildren Brittany (Kevin), Taylor, Noah, and Pierre; great granddaughter Addison; brother Dennis Geldart (Willa), Lakeville; sister Colleen Ayles (Merle), Upper Coverdale and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his brother Paul Geldart (late Shirley), step-brother Calvin and step-sister Helen.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, February 23, 6 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Wednesday, February 24 at 2 pm with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating. Interment at Middlesex Cemetery at a later date.
