1926 - 2016
The family of Dorothy Jean Patricia McCarthy (nee Conway) are saddened to announce her passing on February 14, 2016, at the age of 89 years. She passed away peacefully at the Willow Creek Continuing Care in Claresholm, AB.
We are sure she is up in heaven knitting socks for God as she had planned, and likely has stockpiles of yarn in every nook and cranny she can find. To the avid horse lover who was too short to get up onto one, the dog lover who was way too generous with treats, and the reformed cat person who moved their food dishes into her room so they would have company when eating - we will miss you quirks and all.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Gregory McCarthy; her daughters Catherine Milburg Makan and Dawn Evelyn McCarthy; and her grandson Devin Lawrence McCarthy.
She is survived by her sons Bernard McCarthy, Sean McCarthy (Lorrie), Gregory McCarthy (Sandra); and her daughters Roxina Keith (John), and Colleen Warren (Kevin), seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
As per her wishes a service will not be held. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family.
