Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, February 20, 2016, Mrs. Mary May Power of Makinsons, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Louise Drover (nee Poole); husband Michael Power; sons: James Power and Michael Power; sister Beatrice Mercer. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Robert (Isabelle), Sylvester (Lilian), Peter (Sherry), Edward (Margaret), Kevin (Tonya); daughters: Violet (Gordon), Mary (Rodney); 25 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren, along with a huge circle of extended family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach. Funeral mass to take place on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, North River, followed by inurnment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Makinsons. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Carbonear General Hospital 7th floor for their care and compassion.
