1931 – 2016
Donalda Bastarache, 85 of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was married to the late Jaddus Bastarache (1980). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and the late Cécile (Bastarache) Léger.
She will be sadly missed by her six children; Auréa Bastarache of Bouctouche, Cécile Bastarache (Allison LeBouthillier) of Miramichi, Anise Bastarache (Omer Cormier), Aldéo, Yvon and Eugène all of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent and two step grandchildren; Pierre and Brandon. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Jeanne D’Arc LeBlanc and Rose-Mai LeBlanc both of Bouctouche and four brothers; Irois, Alvin (Anne-Marie) and Antoine (Aline) of Bouctouche, Lélice of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two brothers; Jimmy and Emery.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on Tuesda,y March 1, 2016 from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday, March 2, from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Donalda’s memory donations may be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation.
