The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, of Edgar P. Perry, Tignish Home Care Co-op and formerly of Skinner Pond, aged 91 years. Husband of the late Noreen (Gallant) Perry. He was born in Skinner Pond on March 29, 1924, the son of the late Peter and Lucy (Arsenault) Perry. Dear father to Audrey McDonald, Calgary; Helen Kennedy (Eric), Halifax; Jimmy Perry (Karen), Peter Road; Judy Doucette (Jackie), Harper Road; Donna Marchand (Darren), Halifax; Lorraine Perry (Michael), Alberton; and Michael Perry (Dianne), Waterford. Loving grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by parents, Peter and Lucy; brothers, Ben, Willie, Leslie, Francis (Doc), Leo, Wilfred and Jack; and sisters, Tillie, Mae and Bertha. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, March 2, at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish, at 10:30 a.m. Celebrant Rev. Brendan Gallant. Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.
