The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, of Leo Peters, beloved husband of the late Sheila Peters (nee Griffin), of Emyvale, aged 73.
Leo was the beloved father of Kevin and Michael (Trish); and grandfather of Megan, Kyle and Katelynn. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Bernice (David), Anne (Wilfred), Leonard (Jane), Inez (Ron), Eric (Maureen), Marina (Fred deceased), Joan (Rene), Frances and Sandra; his step brothers and sisters, Eric (Lorraine), Edgar (Cecilia), Michele, Claude, Claudette (Stephen) and Denise; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brendon (Vicki), Raymond (Shirley), Leonard (Eileen), Colleen (Brian), David (Pauline), Lorne and Margaret (Jim); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his wife, Sheila, Leo was predeceased by his son, Leo, in infancy; his parents, Estelle and Alban; sister-in-law, Anita; brother-in-law, Fred; and grandniece, Meaghan.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Emyvale, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. Interment in St. Ann's Cemetery.
