Roberta "Jane" Dunphy (née Cudmore, formerly Hughes) of Annandale, PEI - Born September 8, 1941, New Westminster BC. Died March 16, 2016 Penticton, BC.
Jane is survived by her husband, Patrick Dunphy; her children, Dafydd Hughes (Andrée Weisman) of Toronto, ON and Elinor Matheson (Stephen) of Port Moody, BC; her stepchildren, Karen Dunphy (Peter Hackett) of Halifax, NS, Seana Jewer (Trevor) of Cole Harbour, NS, and Patty Jamieson (Geoffrey) of Dartmouth, NS; and grandchildren, Clare and Brigid Matheson, Max Hughes, Jesse and Alex Jamieson, and Dylan and Blake Jewer.
Jane was a consummate host at the Annandale Bed and Breakfast for 11 years, advocated for B&B owners as the president of the PEI B&B owners association, was a stalwart supporter of the Island NDP and was the driving force behind the "A Bold Vision" Women's Leadership Conference.
The family requests that donations be made in Jane's memory to the Terry Fox Foundation or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held in the summer.
