MacMINN, DWIGHT H.
Dwight H. MacMinn, 55, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 18, 2016 after a prolonged battle with cancer. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Shirley (Brown) MacMinn and the late H. Neil MacMinn.
In addition to his mother, Dwight will be sadly missed by his sisters, Karen Whitenect of Burlington, ON, Cindy Hand (Phil) of Brisbane, Australia and Janet MacMinn (Bob) of Calgary, AB; nieces, Abigail Hoeflaak (Bill), Amanda Pidberezny (Mark) and great nephew, Ethan, Lauren Rich (Daniel) and nephew, James Hand and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Dwight was a graduate of Dalhousie University achieving a Bachelor of Science degree. He pursued further studies at the University of New Brunswick ultimately leading to a fulfilling career in information technology. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church where he shared his many musical talents. Dwight's love for Christ was demonstrated through his personal testimony and his desire to share his knowledge of the Bible with others. He enjoyed reading, playing the piano, singing, gardening and travel.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Spencer's (C Wing) for their considerate and dedicated care.
A Service to celebrate Dwight’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 77 Hildegard Drive, on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Martin Kreplin officiating. Reception following the service in the church atrium. Arrangements entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995).
In Dwight’s memory, donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Building Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
