BOURQUE, CAMILLE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Camille Bourque on Sunday March 20th 2016 at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Tilmon and Alida (Gagnon) Bourque, he was born in Moncton, N.B. on July 18th, 1925, but lived the majority of his life in Memramcook.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Rita (Cormier); his three children Carmella (Eugene) Gould of Memramcook, Josette Bourque of Memramcook, Daniel Bourque (Jamie) of Moncton, cherished grandfather of Shaun (Sara) Gould of Fredericton and great-grandfather to his precious Marisol Poitras-Gould of Moncton. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Priscillia (late Alfred) Cormier of Presque Isle, ME and Annette (late Conrad) Blanchette of Dieppe, and his brothers Laurie (Marie) and Joseph (late Anne-Marie) of Memramcook; cousins, many nieces and nephews; friends and hunting buddies who were very dear to him as his passions were hunting, fishing and gardening.
He was a veteran of WW II as a Member of The Brockville Rifles and served in Jamaica. Before his retirement in 2001 he was owner and operator of Maritime Radiator Works for over 49 years.
To his family and faithful friends who visited and called regularly we are very thankful for your commitment to us as a family and for making Dad’s life richer by your visits while he was homebound. We would like to thank our mother for the love and care she gave to our dad since his illness sacrificing her own passions seldom leaving his side since 2006.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Eulalie Bourque (1988), Imelda Landry (2010), Germaine Andrews (2011), and his brothers Thaddée(1982) and Gérard(2012).
Sincere thanks to all Dad’s dedicated Caregivers over the last several years: VON nursing staff; Dr. Vincent Melanson and staff of the Extra-Mural. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Wednesday, March 23 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Funeral service will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St-Joseph on Thursday, March 24 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
