Peacefully at her late residence on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 of Mrs. Lorraine Rooney (nee Gallant) of Charlottetown, age 69 years.
Beloved wife of Leo Rooney and dear mother of Tanya (Steve) Vaive.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Kyler and Schaeffer; step-granddaughter, Nicole; step-children, Connie (Jason) Macdonald, Lee (Shehla) Rooney, Randy Holmes and Mark Holmes; seven step-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Audrey (Desmond) Corrigan, Theresa Gallant, Velda Gallant, John Gallant, Paul Gallant, Gary (Stella) Gallant, Joyce (Helen) Gallant and David (Marsha) Gallant.
She was predeceased by her parents Andy and Florence (nee Pineau) Gallant; brothers, Joseph "Huck" Gallant and Robert Kenneth "Miller" Gallant; nephews, Ronnie Doiron, Kevin Gallant, Terry Doiron and David Junior Gallant.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Stella Maris Church, North Rustico at 11 a.m.
Interment later in the parish cemetery. No visitation by personal request.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
