It is with much sadness that we announce Donna's passing in the Richmond, BC, General Hospital in the presence of family members. Donna was the fourth of five children born to John W. and Clara Palmer of Freeland, PEI. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin and siblings Edna (Oscar) MacNeil and Elizabeth (Fred) Moase. She is survived by her son Robert, daughter-in-law Lauree, granddaughter Nicole, siblings Barbara (Fritz) Kuhl and Lois (Lorne) MacLean and many nephews and nieces. Along the way she served as a school teacher in a one-room country school in Brae, PEI, as a teller in a CIBC bank in Summerside and again in Steveston, BC. She also worked in retail in Steveston. She had made the transfer to BC in late 1958 in company with sibling Lois and her husband Lorne MacLean in a VW Beatle. In keeping with Donna's wishes there will not be a funeral service.
