Irène Maillet, 81, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Stella-Maris Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Wednesday March 30, 2016. She was married to Zoel Maillet. Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and the late Elizabeth (Hébert) Hébert.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Zoel, her children; Louise Boudreau (Norbert) of McKees Mills, Annette Hébert (Bernard) of Bouctouche, Roger (Frank) of Moncton, Laurie (Debbie) of Floral City, FL, her ten grandchildren; Mélanie, Nicholas, Louise, Janice, Carole, Bernard Jr, Susan, Melissa, Jennifer, Jeffrey and her seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sister, Emma Doiron (late Mathieu), her brother, Gérard (Annette), both of Bouctouche and several nieces and nephews.
Irène was predeceased by a daughter, Bernice, a sister, Léona and four brothers; Fred, Alyre, Jim and Laurent.
A special thank you to the staff of the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Irène.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 2 to 3:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 4:00pm.
In Irène’s memory a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
