The death occurred very peacefully surrounded by numerous family members, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday Feb. 3, 2009, of Anne Marie Gallant, dear wife of late Alyre Gallant at the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of the late Emile and Marie Louise Arsenault. She is survived by her loving sons and daughters, Zelma (Gerard) Arsenault of St. Eleanors, Alfred (Theresa Chase ) of St. Timothy, Norman (Corinne) of Cape Egmont, Aline (Ronald) Richard of Mt. Carmel and Louise (special friend Karl) of Abram-Village, and also a special cousin, Yvonne Arsenault of St. Nicholas, and also cousins in the United States, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Sr. Zelie Anne Gallant of Sherbrooke, Que., brother-in-law, Amedus ( Therese) Gallant of Moncton, N.B., and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alyre, and a friend, Albert Arsenault, a brother, Gerard in infancy, and sisters-in-law, Rose Doiron, Edna Blanchard, Theresa Perry, Roseline Arsenault and Zelda Gallant. She was a member of Club D’Age D’or, Poivre et Sel, and also Dames du Sanctuaire of St. Timothy. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home until Saturday, then to Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Visitation shall be received on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Mont Carmel Parish or Le Chez Nous Ltee would be greatly appreciated. Entombment will be in the church receiving vault.
