It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Weed on March 31, 2016 in Victorville, Calif., at the age of 73, after a long battle with C.O.P.D.
Born in Sydney on June 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James and Ada (MacPhee) Dunn, formerly of Davenport Road. She had resided in California since 1964.
Donna is survived by her son, Tim (Alana) Weed and the light of her life granddaughter, Ava Weed of Hesperia, Calif.; sisters, Martha (Michael) Douglas, Las Vegas, Nevada, Karen Dunn, White Rock, B.C.; nephews and nieces, James MacNeil and Linda Barbon of Calif, Vincent MacNeil, Nevada and Diana Norris, Texas; Aunt Jean MacPhee, Sydney River and close cousins, Chris MacPhee of Alberta, Debbie Mcneil-Rutz, N.S., Josephine (Daisy) Dunn, Ontario.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Tom Weed in 2001; Uncle Joseph MacPhee and Aunt Rita (MacPhee) McNeil-Rines.
The family would like to thank her dear friend, Charmaine Clancy of Sydney for keeping in touch through the years and for all the long late night phone calls she shared with Donna through her illness.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date in California.
