Driscoll, Delores Dawn
It is with great sadness that the family of Delores Driscoll of Saint John, beloved wife of the late Russell Driscoll announces her passing, which occurred on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on November 16, 1933 in Knoxford, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lillian (Schriver) Reid.
In her younger years, Delores was employed in retail at Calps. Delores had a keen mind for crossword puzzles and loved to garden. She will be missed by many at the Thursday night dances and Friday night card parties. Most of all, Delores treasured the times spent with those she loved and will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many.
Delores is survived by her children, Michael (Monica) of Lorneville, John (Cathy) of Saint John, Mary Durling (Paul) of Cole Harbour, NS and Dianne MacKenzie (Ross) of Lorneville; siblings, Douglas Reid (Avis) of Knoxford, Sterling Reid (Jean) of Ontario, Wanda Rodney of Ontario and Eleanor Monaghan (Raymond) of Grand Bay-Westfield; grandchildren, Megan, Mallory, Jonathan, Jordan, Amelia, Madison, Meghan, Alex, Andrew, Nathan and John Michael; great-grandchildren, Clara, Jack, Hailey, Paisley, Elodie and Malcolm; daughter-in-law, Sharon Driscoll of Saint John; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Malcolm; step-mother, Genevieve Wilson; sister, Edith and brothers, Don, Bertrum, James and Chester.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, with visiting on Sunday, April 10 and Monday, April 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
