Zanidean: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Ali. Ali passed peacefully surrounded by family at the Swift Current Care Centre on March 28, 2016 at the age of 88. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 30, 2016 from the Islamic Centre with Sheik Mohamed Abdel Hamid officiating. The interment service was held from the Hillcrest Cemetery and pallbearers were Darrald Zanidean, Lorne Zanidean, Bradley Zanidean, Michael Zanidean, Blake Zanidean, and Bing Knight. Ali is survived by his seven children: Joe, Sam (Linda), Moe (Daphine), Newell (Bing), Zanie (Peter), Amy (Carson), and Frank (Sandy); 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He is predeceased by his loving wife Yamna of 72 years on April 6, 2015. Ali was born on June 15, 1927 and he enjoyed landscaping, gardening, playing cards, playing bocce ball, and his time with his family especially his grandchildren.
