Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, April 9, 2016, of Laura "Ruth" Millman, of Alberton, age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Millman. Born at Huntley, P.E.I., on Nov. 21, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Mable C. (nee Hamill) Hardy. Loving mother to Marlene Sentner, of Alberton, James (Norma), of Folly Mountain N.S., Joan (Ken) Pedersen, of Burlington, Ont., Louise Millman, of Nevada, U.S.A., Sidney, of Alberton, John, of Alberton, Neal (Cheryl), of Clyde River, and Kevin (Kelly), of Alberton. She will be sadly missed by her 16 grandchildren and by her great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Sidney Hardy, of Alberton, and Byron (Christina) Hardy, of Toronto, sister-in-law, Blanche Millman, of Dartmouth, N.S. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, and son, Allan, sons-in-law, Edgar Sentner and Orest Balanyk, and sister-in-law, Eleanor Hardy. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday morning from the Rooney Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., with Pastor Sheila McCrea-MacCallum officiating. Interment in the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Maple House, O'Leary, or to the Open Door Outreach Ministries, Charlottetown would be gratefully appreciated.
