Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Long Term Care Facility on Saturday, April 9, 2016 age 89 years. Ford was a long time employee of CN Railways/CN Roadcruisers. Predeceased by his parents: Parmenas and Ida Taylor; brothers: Neil, Archibald, Frank and Austin and daughter-in-law Priscilla Taylor. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 70 years Eugenie (nee Howell), his children: Gary, Bruce (Louise), Bryan (Elizabeth), Peter (Grace Ann), Paula, Dick, Danica (Adolfe), Barry (Timea) and Darren; brother Bruce (Doreen); brother-in-law Leonard (Winnie) Howell; sisters-in-laws: Joan Howell, Helen (Don) Goudie and Rose Taylor; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and friends. At Ford's request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service for family will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from Barrett's Chapel. Inurnment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Ford's memory to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of one's choice.
