Pamela \"Betty\" Murch - It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Murch announces her passing on February 3, 2009, at the Cypress Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years. Betty was born on July 1, 1925, in London, England, the youngest child of Charles & Elsie George. She was predeceased by her parents and three siblings, Leslie, Lou and Peggy. Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband Hewitt, daughters Annette (Steve) Pawlus, Donna (Stan) Murphy, grandson David (Danielle) Murch and great-grandchildren Robert, Liza and Frankie, along with close relatives she will also be missed by a huge extended family of cherished relatives and friends. Hewitt and Betty were married December 15, 1945, in Shrewbury, England. She landed in Canada August 1946, to begin her new life on the prairies in Lancer, SK. After spending 14 years on the farm Hewitt made a career move to Outlook with the VLA, later moving to Shaunavon and on to Swift Current where she resided until her passing. Betty was active in the communities where she lived, serving on council, various boards too numerous to mention. She was also a member of the Saskatchewan War Brides Association. Her passion was her family, grandson and great-grandchildren. There were always many sewn, knitted, quilted or crafted items for everyone. She enjoyed many hours with family and friends playing Scrabble, cards or board games. Betty loved people and was always eager for entertaining, socializing or great conversation. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. A celebration of Betty\'s life was held at the First United Church on Monday, February 9, 2009, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Kevin Johnston officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor\'s choice. Warren\'s Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK. entrusted with arrangements.
