Raymond Clark

Raymond John Clark
One could not ask for a better life of 87 years but today we must say good-bye to our husband, father and grandpa, Raymond John Clark.
Ray was born on December 8, 1928 to Tom and Viola née Moore. He lived most of his life in the White Bear area and also at Robin Hood. He moved with his family to Robin Hood in 1933 where they had purchased a quarter section of land. In 1944 they moved back to the White Bear area. He attended school in Robin Hood and later in White Bear, getting half of his grade 12 before he decided reading and writing was not for him.
Ray worked for Kenny and Mabel Lytle for many years. He bought his first parcel of land from Kenny and started his life as a farmer. Ray married Minnie Pfaff on August 23, 1950 and together they had five children. Barbara (Bill Moebis), Doreen (Glen Smith), Murray, Sandra (Brian Gustavson) and Leroy. Together dad and mom have 11 grandchildren: Clarke (Jennifer) and Kristan (Shannon) Moebis; Radell (Dale Audette) and Riley (Amber) Smith; Sheena (Jeremy Sinclair), Harley (Danielle), Leif, and Emery (Alyssa) Gustavson: Ashley, Nikki, (Devon Murray) and Chelsea Clark and 13 great-grandchildren: Jaina, Kyla and Rhet Moebis, Kendra and Katelyn Audette, Brooklyn and Bodey Smith, George Sinclair, Brody, McKenzie, Ayden and Landon Gustafson and Alexander Murray. He said this past Saturday the happiest memories he had were working on the R.M. with Ray Murray and driving his chuckwagon ponies. He won a championship in Spokane, Washington and later raced in the Astrodome in Houston, Texas in 1970/1971. Ray was predeceased by a son Murray (1957), a brother Jim (1934), a sister Gladys (1927), his dad (1969) and his mom (1989); also by his brother Ken, a sister-in-law Gerry and a brother-in-law Glen Hystad.
Ray passed away at the Kyle District Health Centre on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the age of 87. Memorial Service was held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Kyle United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. Interment followed at Clearwater Cemetery.
