We, the family of the late Bernice Stewart, would like to thank our friends and neighbors for helping us on this journey as we parted with someone we loved so much. Thank you for the flowers, telephone calls, memorial and sympathy cards, monetary donations, and the food that was brought to our homes. To those who came to the visitation and funeral, to St. Paul's Choir and organist, and to the folks who provided the luncheon, thank you for sharing your memories of Bernice, and for embracing us with your fellowship and love. To Rev. Allan MacLellan, thank you for your support and inspiring message of faith. You gave us hope that there would be brighter days ahead. Special thanks to the pallbearers, nephews Kevin, Robbie, John, and Todd, grandnephew Kenneth, and close family friend Ray Jamieson. Also, to June MacLean for that final appointment, and to Michelle and Angus at Patten's Funeral Home for their professional guidance and reassuring presence in this overwhelming time. To the E.R. staff and 3rd floor staff at the Glace Bay Hospital, to Dr. Coubin, Q.E.II Halifax, to Dr. Cadegan, Dr. Gallivan, and Dr. Stephanie Ellerker, whatever individual role you played in Bernice's care, thank you for your compassion, friendship, and prayers. Finally, to Dr. O'Brien, you were her Doctor and her friend through many chapters of her life. And for that final chapter, you were right there by her side, just where she knew you would be. Thank you for caring so much. God Bless you all.
