Theresa (MacPhail) Mosher, 88, of Foyer Pére Fiset, Cheticamp, formerly of Belle Cote, died April 26, 2016, at Foyer Pére Fiset.
Born in Belle Cote, she was the daughter of the late John Fred LeBlanc and Julia (Stubbert) LeBlanc.
Theresa worked in Sydney Ship Supply and the Welfare Review Board. She was an active member of St. Michael’s CWL and her community.
The last five years of her life, she was a resident of the Foyer Pere Fiset, where she participated in all activities and programs.
Theresa was an avid card player of 200 and an avid book reader. She looked forward to her visits with her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Foyer for their outstanding compassion and care shown to mom over the past five years.
She is survived by two sons, Jackie (Phyllis), Belle Cote and Scott (Helen), Bedford; three daughters, Linda (Richard LeBlanc), Cheticamp, Julie (Eugene Murphy), North East Margaree, Karen (Steve LeBlanc), East Margaree; two brothers, Fred LeBlanc, Cheticamp and Germy (Rita) LeBlanc, Waltham, Mass; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Landry, and one brother-in-law, Clarence MacPhail, both of South Bar; four stepchildren, Billy (Mary) Mosher, Linda (Donnie) MacLean, Ken (Norma) Mosher, Jeannie (Paul) Kayes; 13 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband John A. MacPhail and second husband Bill Mosher, granddaughter Courtney MacPhail, four brothers, Dennis, Bernie, Eddie, Germy, four sisters, Catherine, Sadie, Mabel and Florence.
Visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Belle Cote Community Centre. Funeral mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Michael Church, East Margaree with Fr. Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Donations to Foyer Pere Fiset or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cheticamp Funeral Services Ltd.
