It is with great sadness that the family of the late David "Dave" Massie announces his passing on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Labrador Health Center, Happy Valley Goose Bay. Born in St. John's, NL, he was the son of the late David and Sarah (Flowers) Massie. Dave leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 60 years Hannah (Baikie), children Marilyn (Fred) Saunders, Russ (Judy) Massie and Mike (Joanne) Massie, grandchildren Melissa, Renee, Christopher, Jonathan, Kesha, Alexandra "Ally", Tyler, Keith Hynes, sister Irene O'Mara, brothers Donald (Louise), Lloyd (Annette), Rick (Joan), Wayne (Ann) and Barry (Rita), sisters and brothers-in-law Alvina Maure, Betty (Cliff) Lloyd and Tom (Fran) Baikie. Dave was predeceased by brothers Ian, Jim and Doug, sister Debbie, brothers-in-law Martin O'Mara, Russell Maure, Stan Baike, Norman Baike and sisters-in-law Ethel and Fiona. In keeping with Dave's wishes cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the United Church, Goose Bay.
