LUCY MAY HAYWARD
April 3, 1931 – May 4, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy May Hayward announces her passing on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre with her loving family surround by her side. Born in Grand Bruit, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ann (Vickers) Billard. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband James, of 62 years, children, Barbara (Norman) McNeil, Louis Hayward, Garry (Dena) Hayward, Wayne Hayward (Alice Maynard), Pamela (Paul) Mauger and Wanda (Nick) Di-Monte, grandchildren, Tina, Sherry, Lisa, Shawn, Andrea, Brandon, Francis, Stephen, Patricia, Samantha, Hailey and Chloe, great grandchildren, Jennifer, Corey, Chantell, Justin, Desmond, Brock, Lyndon, Trulee, Jermiah, Beau and Mason. She will be forever remembered by sisters-in-law, Lillian, Emily, Beatrice, Helen, Marie, Hilda, and brother-in-law, Edward Duhart, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Lucy was predeceased, by mother and father-in-law, Edward and Golda (Warren) Hayward, step-brothers, Solomon Billard, Charles Billard, Joseph Billard, Blanford Billard, Ambrose Billard, Garfield Billard, Charles Vickers and Benjamin Vickers, step-sister, Jenny Bennett and Gladys Neil brothers–in-law, Charles Hayward, Bert Hayward, Alfred Bennett, Harvey Howell, Bill Simms and Arthur Taylor, sisters-in-law, Berthany Vickers, Alma Billard, Susie Billard, Lorena Billard, Judy Billard, Leah Scott and Lottie Vickers. The family will be receiving family and friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m., from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in Lucy’s memory may be made graciously to the family.
