Passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence in Barachois Brook on May 7, 2016 with her family at her side. Predeceased by her parents, William and Clara Goodyear(1980), her first husband Ellis Edmonds (1994) father of her 9 children; Second husband Maxfield (Mackie) Fillatre (2011); Son Ronald (1999); Sisters: Marguerite and Pearl and brothers: Ronald and Howard. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Arthur Stephenville; Eric (Ida) Surrey, BC; Phillip (Cathy) Fort McMurray, Catherine (Terry) Barachois Brook; Pearl, Fort McMurray; Valerie (Dennis) Corner Brook; Maureen (Tony) Fort McMurray; Vivian (Shawn) Fort McMurray; and daughter-in-law Betty, Edmonton; 18 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren; brothers Lloyd Goodyear; Clifford (June)Goodyear; Bill (Massie) Goodyear; Gerald (Elaine) Goodyear; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Clara always had a positive outlook on life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She especially enjoyed playing cards, fishing with her family and had a love for bingo and will be missed by her many bingo friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9th and from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10th. The funeral service will take place from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, St. George's at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 with Rev. Kris Gosse officiating. Inurnment will take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook following cremation. Clara's favorite color was red and friends may wear red in her honor. Flowers accepted or donation may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in Clara's memory. Full obituary available at www.fillatre.ca
